biography
Rhineland is a Virginia-based indie rock band consisting of Troy Bittner (lead vocals), Josh Wright (guitar), Joseph Stevenson (drums), and Dan Scicchitano (bass).
Troy and Josh started Rhineland shortly before landing a show at a local skate park. Still needing a drummer and bassist, they were joined by Joseph and Dan, and the four-piece group was established. The band has since been performing throughout the northeast and recording original music.
Rhineland released their first single We Go Down in December 2018, which has since accumulated 390K+ streams on Spotify. Songs from their 2019 Family Van EP as well as other singles have been featured on Spotify Editorial playlists including New Talent 2019, Fresh Finds, Indie Pop Block, as well as the AlexRainBird, and Mahogany playlists. On Spotify, Rhineland has garnered over 600K streams and averages 20K monthly listeners.
In Spring 2020, Rhineland opened for alternative rock group Kings Kaleidoscope. Other notable artists Rhineland has performed with include WLDLFE, Vacation Manor, Pacific, and Oceanic. Rhineland has been compared to other alternative rock groups such as Hippocampus, COIN, and Colony House. Rhineland also draws inspiration from artists like Coldplay, Bleachers, and Valley.
Since successfully funding their Kickstarter, the group has been writing and preparing to record a five-song EP this summer, set to release in Fall 2020.
